About the Track
During this track, you will learn the basic technical skills you need to take better pictures, you will have lots of practical assignments, and in the end, we will do an exhibition in our beautiful café.
We will also explore how we can use photography as a tool for God’s kingdom and how we can use photography to share stories.
You don’t need to have any experience from before, but you need to bring your own camera (preferably a DSLR/SLR). We would also recommend bringing more than one lens.
Three hours in the schedule every week is set off for track time, and one week during the lecture phase we will travel to another location to meet people who have the same passion as us and to reach out using our gifts.

Hey! I'm Jo Yngve, 31 years old, from Norway, and married to Silje.
Since high school, I’ve had a passion for photography and I did a photography DTS with YWAM in 2009. Since then I’ve been running my own photography business as well as staffing with YWAM Skien.
I believe God wants to use our creative skills to
glorify him. «A picture says more than a thousand
words» might be a cliché, but it can really be true!
Photography is a powerful tool – it can speak
into people’s lives, bring awareness about
social injustice, create emotions, and
much more.
