MISSION TRIPS
There is nothing that grows and shapes your faith more than going on a mission trip. It makes your own faith more solid, gives you boldness to share your faith. To make a difference for other people is a great way to grow personally. We have mission trips to different locations every school break. You can join us to locations near and far and with different kinds of program. It will be perfect for you weather you love to evangelize on the streets or rather wants to serve and help with practical needs and care for people. We work with kids, youth, students, families, special needs and adults. Going together on a trip like this is amazing community and fellowship.
RISK Europe
June 19-23, 2026
On the 19th to 23rd of June, we will send one team to every nation of Europe at the same time. We will gather to be sent from Skien Friday night, then we fly out to all the different nations Saturday morning. We will share the gospel, care for people, pray, and preach hope in every single nation. Tuesday, we will all gather back in Skien to celebrate what God has done and seek His heart for Europe.
You can sign up alone or together with friends. If you would like to lead the team yourself we could have a chat about what that means. If not we will have two team leaders that take care of travel, program, and accommodation. You pay a sign up fee that covers the time in Skien in the beginning and the end, the rest of the cost will be organized in your team.
You can pick a country when you sign up, and you get a final approval after that.

Winter Break 2027
Serbia is one of the most exciting countries in the Balkans. During the winter break of 2027, we at Youth in Mission Skien hope to send 90 people on a team to this amazing country where we will share the gospel of Jesus.
What if you lead someone to Jesus this winter break?

On the team trip you will be able to use yourself in many areas. Here are some of the things you can do: women's work, student and youth work, charity work among the city's poor, and work with vulnerable and poor children.
Tanzania
Easter Break 2027
At Easter we are going on a mission trip to Tanzania! We will go to Arusha which is located in the north of Tanzania, near Kilimanjaro. Here we will visit the Youth on Mission (YWAM) center in Arusha and the New Vision Sports Club (NVSC). We will have two different teams:
1. Football
If you like soccer, this is the trip for you – there will be many opportunities to get to know and play with the boys who train with NVSC! There will be daily practices and games, and you will get to join the vision of NSVC which is to equip these young boys for a life with Jesus and to become boys who take responsibility for their lives. You will get to lead Bible studies with the boys and invest in their lives.
2. Mercy/practical
If you are not a football fan, this is also a fantastic trip to join! The other team will visit local families, do other practical service and really experience the culture of Tanzania. There may also be the opportunity to go on a day trip to a tribe that lives nearby.
